Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. announced yesterday that it had completed its $7.4 billion acquisition of Ivax Corp., Miami, making Teva the world's biggest maker of generic drugs. The combined company, which will operate under the Teva name, will have operations in more than 60 countries and employ about 26,000 people. The two companies had more than $7 billion in revenue for the 12 months ended Sept. 30. Teva employs more than 1,000 in the Philadelphia area at its North American headquarters in North Wales and at one manufacturing plant in Sellersville.- Linda Loyd ...
