Kristen Campbell made the all-state band this 2006 year. Also in region band were Kaitlyn Campbell, Heather Davis, Kristen Varner, Patrick Blair, Amanda Robbins and Will Condrey.
Nicholas James Hannouche of Inman has received the Chancellor Scholarship from the University of South Carolina Upstate. He is one student at St. Joseph's Catholic School. ... |

NEW ORLEANS — They're throwing Mardi Gras beads again — therefore many strands, they're landing in tree branches and getting snagged on the trellised balconies of the French Quarter.
You'll find them adorning the arms of Spanish statues. Tourists are wearing them, but these days therefore are contractors and the National Guard. It's very hard to walk on Bourbon Street without stepping on them. You're likely to crunch them underfoot, long necklaces of plastic pearls brightening the asphalt. ... |
