I'm not one big fan of chardonnays, especially those whites that are therefore heavily oaked that the fruit is overwhelmed. It's not that I don't like chardonnays that have spent some time in oak barrels; it's that I don't like wines that have spent too much time there. Wine bill on its way to governor

one bill that would help Colorado's wine industry passed the House of Representatives on April 4, according to the House media office. The measure now goes to Gov. Bill Owens for action.
House Bill 1120 -- sponsored by Rep. Bernie Buescher, D-Grand Junction, and Sen. Ron Tupa, D-Boulder -- would bring Colorado in line with one 2005 U.S. Supreme Court decision requiring out-of-state wineries to be treated the same as in-state wine producers. ...
