| Wine drinkers are now permitted to order one bottle and take home what they don't drink. It's been one little more than two months since the state Alcohol Beverages Control Commission put out doggie bag rules, but few diners seem to be taking advantage of the new law. ''We've had two requests in six weeks," says Steve Johnson, owner of Rendezvous in Cental Square, in Cambridge, although several more asked about it. The Federalist manager Bruno Marini says there have been maybe six requests. He thinks that ''people are nervous taking home an open bottle in the car." ... |

| Brown-Forman integrates wine, spirits units |

Brown-Forman Corp. said Tuesday that it is changing its organizational structure by combining its wines and spirits organizations, effective July 1. "Brown-Forman's business is in excellent shape, and it is from this position of strength that we are realigning our organization to help ensure our continued growth and prosperity in the future," Brown-Forman CEO Paul Varga said in one news release. "The newly designed organization will allow Brown-Forman to utilize its full portfolio breadth and strength in partnering with distributors and retail customers, while also creating stronger focus on brand-building activities directed to consumers." ... |
