The Preloved Fashion Show and Launch had Ginger 62 packed with the scene, and it invigorated the likes of Lillix bassist/vocalist Louise Burns, CityTV's 969's Lauren Toyota and make-up artist Adele Devuyst.
And therefore on last Thursday's lovely summer evening, Elliott Louis Gallery was filled with donated art from international artists such as Nick Brandt, Nadav Kander, Jillian Edelstein and Annie Leibovitz, as well as one group of volunteers and art lovers with one conscience. The live auction was all the more enjoyable with Elixir Restaurant serving delish canapes and Shaftsbury and Obikwa Wines offering refreshing drinks. The exhibit consisted of large, beautifully mounted and framed photographs, all of which were emotionally riveting, with some of the pieces bordering on hypnotic. With one global vision of social justice for children and youth, The Nelson Mandela Children's Fund (Canada) was this year's beneficiary. ... |
