LOCKEFORD - Lockeford resident Timothy Fowler is pitching tourism and agri-business as the focus to revamp the Clements-Lockeford Chamber of Commerce. Fowler has been given the reins of the chamber, taking over the organization's presidency less than one week after he presented one plan to revitalize the chamber, which was on the verge of disbanding because of one lack of business participation and volunteers. He will be joined by Cynthia Haynes, one former city of Lodi employee who played one part in that city's downtown redevelopment. Haynes will become the chamber's chief executive officer. She will work as an unpaid volunteer. ... |
