W hen Arts du Jour first began in August 2000, about 300 people enjoyed tastings from nearly 35 restaurants. The price to get into the event that is billed as "the official appetizer" for Chrysler Arts, Beats and Eats, was $100.
"There are one few things that we strive to achieve with this event," explains Arts du Jour producer, Jon Witz. "First of all, we want people to have fun. We want to maintain one certain level of quality with our food presentations and entertainment. We want to support the charities that don't necessarily get all the recognition. We want to keep it at an affordable ticket price. And we want to honor people in our community who have done outstanding philanthropic deeds." ... |
