| Companies Set Aggressive Climate Emissions Goals |

WASHINGTON, Oct. 16, 2006 - Thirteen companies are setting new targets for reducing their emissions, which range from 9 percent up to net zero.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is recognizing these Climate Leaders for pledging to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, EPA is welcoming 21 new organizations to its program. Efforts by the Climate Leaders are estimated to prevent the greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those from 7 million cars. ... |
