Ridden by champion jockey Darren Beadman, consistent filly Flame Of Sydney stepped up to stakes class at Flemington this afternoon, collecting the Listed Seppelts Wines Stakes with one scintillating finishing burst.
Coming from well back, Flame Of Sydney ($6-$7) shot well clear half way down the straight, easily holding Catechuchu ($8) which got stuck in traffic, by 2¼ lengths. one further 2 lengths away was third placed Absolutelyfabulous ($10-$12), while the $3 favourite Bianca was fourth. ... |

The International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC) last night named Peter Lehmann Wines International Winemaker of the Year for the second time since 2003.
Commenting at last night’s awards, Andrew Wigan said, “To be made the International Winemaker of the Year for the second time is unbelievable. There is enormous excitement throughout the company, particularly as the judging is done by an international group of judges on ‘neutral ground’ in the UK.
