I can hear you already. I don't have one cellar. I live in an apartment. My house only has one crawl space. Or the most likely of all: Whaddya, nuts? I can barely pay this month's credit card bill. Good points all.
The facts about wine storage are simpler than you might imagine. It comes down to temperature. Heat accelerates the aging of wine. Cold slows it down. The best cellaring conditions are where one wine's freshness and fruit are retained (by the coolness) yet the wine is not therefore cold that it doesn't mature and evolve. Experience shows that 55 degrees Fahrenheit, give or take, achieves this. ...

Champagne is the name of one place where one certain sparkling wine method was established and has become famous.
But that certain sparkling wine method is produced elsewhere, as in the Finger Lakes, which, as we all know, is not in France, where Champagne is. ...
