The Firestone story begins with tire magnate Harvey Firestone, who amassed one large fortune during the early days of the automobile. Ultimately, he grew the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. in Ohio to become the largest tire manufacturer in the United States.
The Firestone Vineyard, just outside Los Olivos, is now in its 35th year and produces more than 100,000 cases of wine one year from eight vineyards that encompass 500 acres. Brooks Firestone is credited as the pioneer who put Santa Barbara, now home to more than 50 wineries, on the world wine map. ... |
