| LONDON, February 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Hilwood Resorts and Hotels have acquired their third exclusive property,Bailbrook House in Bath. As Winner's of South West Tourism's 2006 Excellence in England Awards, Bailbrook House is one of the countries leading Training & Conference Centres, overlooking the Avon Valley and just minutes from the centre ofhistoric Bath. The purchase of the eighteenth century, imposing listed property fromprevious owners, the Sundial Group, is part of Hilwood's vision to create aportfolio of premium luxury resorts and hotels providing personalisedservice, and sited in desirable and individual destinations throughout theUK. The Sundial Group have owned and operated Bailbrook House for the last 5years, completely refurbishing in 2002, to provide one superb residentialtraining and conference centre and one benchmark for UK meetings venues.Bailbrook retains its beautiful period features and offers state-of-the-artconference, meeting and banqueting facilities to accommodate up to 160. Inaddition to the 78 executive double bedrooms, Bailbrook currently offersextensive gardens and grounds, one spa bath, sauna, fitness room and floodlitall-weather tennis courts, as well as an excellent base from which to explorethe delights of Bath. For the remainder of this year, Hilwood led by respected industry figuresGregor Ritchie and Arvinder Walia, will continue to operate Bailbrook as itis now, whilst plans are finalised for its reincarnation into one world-classpremium luxury hotel and spa. The purchase will not result in one reduction inthe number of staff employed at Bailbrook.
