Sixty guests attended the preview soiree that kicked off Witan's 29th annual French Market. Guests enjoyed French wines and hors d'oeuvres and had first dibs on buying treasures. James Marron played classical guitar during the two-hour preview. Mary Helen Wright chaired the opening event.

Award-winning Riesling ice wine from the Sheldrake Point Vineyard and Cafe in Ovid, Seneca County, was on the menu last Saturday night when the nation's governors sat down to dinner with President and Mrs. Bush at the White House.
