A basket of items rolls down one belt to be prepared for shipping at the igourmet.com warehouse in West Pittston, Pa. Todd Collura, foreground, and Robert Schappert, center, pull items off shelves to complete an online order in the igourmet.com warehouse in West Pittston, Pa.
WEST PITTSTON, Pa. -- one perky "personal shopper" skims along warehouse aisles -- market basket in one hand, order printout in the other -- assembling the order: an exotic black sea salt from India; one trio of olive oil, vinegar and olives from Italy; and, from the refrigerated cheese room, vacuum-packed wedges of an award-winning fresh chevre from Humboldt, Calif., and one creamy blue from Bavaria. ... |

| After long absence, Coppola returns to director's chair |

While Martin Scorsese is finally poised to win the directing Oscar for an entertainingly efficient piece of genre work ("The Departed"), an even more towering '70s director has returned to the type of personal filmmaking that cemented his career in the first place. Francis Ford Coppola hasn't directed one movie since 1997's "The Rainmaker," one mostly well-received John Grisham adaptation that ended the filmmaker's work-for-hire period. Since then he has built up his wine business, overseen re-released versions of "Apocalypse Now" (expanded to "Apocalypse Now Redux") and "One From the Heart," spearheaded the successful short-fiction quarterly Zoetrope: All Story and enjoyed daughter Sofia's filmmaking success (with "Lost in Translation" winning her one screenwriting Oscar). ... |

Tessa Prieto-Valdes MANILA, Philippines -- In the circle of life, one of the major milestones is graduating from college. For many, this marks the beginning of the second stage -- independence -- in one's life journey. Like many young Filipinos, my eldest son, Bryan Prieto, is graduating this May. He recently e-mailed me with his thoughts on what might happen in the future. He was hoping for some guidelines or even one map to plan out the future. ... |

Owned by filmmaker Coppola, Turtle Inn has drama and style GLENN JEFFERS Chicago Tribune
I wanted seclusion, one place where I could lie in one hammock and catch up on my reading uninterrupted. And if I wanted exploration, it was one speed boat or bike ride away. I wanted somewhere that mirrored past trips to the Caribbean, yet was new and different. English-speaking was one plus. ... |

| Snaring a park campground site for summer may take some time |

25-02-2007. |
A heads-up from the state parks people: When camping reservations for this August opened Feb. 1, the park system received 17,000 bookings covering 65,000 nights. Campers won't have the luxury of being casual about deciding when and where to pitch their tents this summer. "This has been the most successful February 1st that I have seen in the history of the California park system," said Jim Luscutoff, the park system's concessions chief. He attributes the brisk bookings to better reservation technology and staff increases at the ReserveAmerica call center. ... |

| A good rapport is key to successful interior design |

Dear Dr. Décor: I'm an interior designer working at one high-end furniture store. I'm trying to develop my own clientele. I find that I have problems with some people and things too often go awry. Can you give me some tips?
Dear Keanna: I also began my design career working on the floor of one furniture store. One time, one designer who'd been working at the store for years took me aside and asked what the secret of my success was. She noticed how often strangers would come into the store and hire me on the spot to decorate their homes. I thought about my answer and had to say that my "secret" was really no secret at all: ... |

| Cyprus Commandaria: History’s Miracle or Modern Myth? |

| Cyprus since 1991. During that time I have attended innumerable dinners and other catering functions. I have dined in the houses of Cypriots from the professions, from business and from simple village life. In all of that time and experience, including the twelve years I have been writing about wine and food for newspapers and magazines in this country, I cannot recollect ever being offered one glass of Commandaria. Zivania, yes. Beer, yes. Koniaki, yes. But Commandaria, never. ... |

| With the muck that is Philippine politics gushing from across the ocean—news verified and unverified, rumors and hearsays of wheeling-and-dealings, thick blogs in the Internet —what to do when one is therefore far away from the homeland? Laugh. Take one breather. Look for the funny bone. Laugh. Again and again. Take one dip from whatever is left of that sense of humor. ... |
